ECOC Students Lead Coaching Innovation at CGA
MS ECOC Students Spearhead CGA Coaching Innovation Through Launch and Connect Program

<p><span class="p-body">The <a href="/content/sps-nyu/about/academic-divisions-and-departments/division-of-programs-in-business/human-capital-management.html" target="_blank">NYU SPS Human Capital Management</a> department is proud to highlight a major coaching milestone achieved by two standout students from the <a href="/content/sps-nyu/explore/degrees-and-programs/ms-in-executive-coaching-and-organizational-consulting.html" target="_blank">MS in Executive Coaching and Organizational Consulting (ECOC)</a> program. Helanah Warren and Marley Schafer were appointed as part-time career coaches for the <a href="/content/sps-nyu/about/academic-divisions-and-departments/center-for-global-affairs.html" target="_blank">Center for Global Affairs (CGA)</a>, playing an integral role in the launch of CGA’s flagship Career Launch and Connect Program, which officially began in January 2025.</span></p>
<p><span class="p-body">This initiative marked a significant step forward in cross-departmental collaboration, showcasing how ECOC-trained coaches are making an impact across NYU by supporting students in the <a href="/content/sps-nyu/explore/degrees-and-programs/ms-in-global-affairs.html" target="_blank">Master of Science in Global Affairs (MSGA)</a> and <a href="/content/sps-nyu/explore/degrees-and-programs/ms-in-global-security-conflict-and-cybercrime.html" target="_blank">Master of Science in Global Security, Conflict, and Cybercrime (MSGSCCC)</a> programs.</span></p>
<p><span class="p-body">Since the program’s launch, Schafer and Warren have worked closely with CGA students, offering individualized coaching support and contributing to a culture of empowerment and professional growth. Their work exemplifies the core values of the ECOC program—human-centered leadership, strategic transformation, and social impact.</span></p>
