Raúl Sánchez is an award-winning journalist and creative writer, who is a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor of linguistics, intercultural communication, and business communication in the Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts and the Division of Programs in Business at New York University’s School of Professional Studies. As a faculty lead, he is the Program Coordinator of Corporate Education Programs at NYUSPS and has designed and delivered corporate trainings for Deloitte, Bloomberg, Anheuser-Busch, and the United Nations.
He is the co-author of the award-winning business book on global communication skills: How to Communicate Effectively with Anyone, Anywhere (Career Press) co-written with Dan Bullock and illustrated by Rod Sánchez – the book was the recipient of the 2022 Axiom Business Book Award and the 2022 Nautilus Book Award and was also selected as a "Top Title" in Business Books by the major British daily newspaper Financial Times. He has contributed to such publications as Harvard Business Review, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Quartz, HuffPost, openDemocracy, and Business Insider, where he writes about the intersection of global business communication, leadership, and intercultural communication.
He has presented at numerous conferences and his awards include the NYUSPS Teaching Excellence Award for his language/business communication seminars, and Paula Gonzales Award for his research dissertation at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. His professional writing experience includes being a writing consultant for such companies as Barnes & Noble Publishing and PBS’s Charlie Rose Show. Raul has taught numerous courses in academic writing, speech, creative writing, journalism, business communication, Spanish language and literature, project management, ESL in higher education, English literature, and intercultural communication.
