Tisch Center of Hospitality">Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality</a> at NYU School of Professional Studies, is proof of NYC's magnetic quality. After graduating with a <a href="/content/sps-nyu/explore/degrees-and-programs/bs-in-hospitality-travel-and-tourism-management.html" title="Bachelor's in Hotel and Tourism Management">BS in Hotel and Tourism Management</a> in 2021, Jason's decision to apply to be FÊTE NY's event producer was due in part to his love for the city and his desire to continue his career momentum after an internship at Rosewood Beijing.</span></p> <p><span class="p-body">NYC attracts doers like Wu, who are ready to jump into the epicenter of their chosen industries after graduation. He sat down with us to share his journey and advice to future Tisch students.</span></p>

<p><span class="p-body">After crossing the stage for his NYU diploma, Wu set his sights on Georgetown for graduate school. Though he was excited to take everything he learned at Tisch, something about NYC kept calling him back. &quot;While studying and living in NYC, I thought to myself, 'Why not work and learn at the same time in the city?'&quot; he shares.</span></p> <p><span class="p-body">Reflecting on his internships during his undergraduate years, Wu knew his calling was to become an event producer. It was this clarity of purpose that led him to FÊTE NY, a company renowned for its imaginative and distinctive events.</span></p>

<p><span class="p-body">As an event producer, Wu has become an expert in striking the balance between creativity and meticulous planning. FÊTE NY, known for producing imaginative and awe-inspiring events, relies on him and his team to bring visions to life. &quot;My two main responsibilities include planning and designing,&quot; he states, shedding light on the multifaceted nature of his role. From vendor sourcing and budget management to conceptualizing decor and executing onsite, Wu's role is pivotal in creating a magical experience for event-goers.</span></p> <p><span class="p-body">No two days are the same as an event producer. &quot;A workday at the office is completely different from a workday on site,&quot; he explains. Office days are filled with client meetings and team discussions, while event days can start as early as 6 AM. Adaptability is key.</span></p>

<p><span class="p-body">His industry knowledge and fresh perspective offer valuable insight for prospective students. Wu's advice is to &quot;focus on or change little habits that are recurring daily to improve and develop as an individual&quot; instead of setting lofty goals that are too temporary. From his point of view, &quot;Goals that are difficult to reach could put pressure on us and hinder our performance.
