<p><span class="p-body">There's no limit to what our students can achieve after graduation from the SPS Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts. We sat down with Eva Lizett Schreffler, a&nbsp;<a href="/content/sps-nyu/explore/degrees-and-programs/ms-in-translation.html" title="Master's of Science in Translation and Interpreting">Master’s in Translation &amp; Interpreting</a>&nbsp;(MSTI) alum of the fully online, to learn more about her and the digital journey she went on while studying at NYU's School of Professional Studies.</span></p>

<p>Our SPS students come from all walks of life, each bringing their perspectives to the classroom. For many like Schreffler, their hobbies and interests intersect with their academic passions. She says, &quot;I am passionate about languages and interpreting. I love to travel and explore other cultures.&quot; Her hobbies also include learning specialized terminology in different domains related to court interpreting and eating out at various ethnic restaurants.</p>

<p>While shopping around for different MS programs, Schreffler wanted to find a place where she could leverage her knowledge and experience in court interpreting. At NYU, she found opportunities to meet leading professionals in a variety of industries related to interpreting and translation. The faculty at NYU are top scholars who are dedicated to the profession, which Schreffler quickly learned would be the key to getting the most out of her studies here.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

<p><span class="p-body">Schreffler shares, &quot;The asynchronous modality enabled me to feed off my classmates' sharp and brilliant minds. The forums were intellectually stimulating and encouraged critical thinking and sound writing principles allowing me to improve my writing exponentially while learning about the various aspects of interpreting and translation.&quot;</span></p> <p><span class="p-body">As the world becomes increasingly more digital, we're meeting the moment by finding new ways to keep our online students connected. &quot;The recorded lectures allowed me to learn at my own pace and revisit the material to gain a deeper understanding or to prepare for an assignment.
