Elizabeth Kisova, who is from Prague, Czech Republic, was drawn to NYU SPS by the program's global outlook. "NYU, and this program specifically, offers so many diverse views into the industry," she said.

Each semester, the program offers IM&C students a chance to build hands-on experience beyond the classroom and put what they've learned into practice through opportunities such as Global Field Intensives (GFIs), Real-World courses, or student competitions, like the OUTFRONT Marketing Challenge.

Taking On the OUTFRONT Challenge

When Elizabeth signed up for the Marketing in Motion challenge, she didn't expect the month-long sprint to end in a summer internship at the company's New York headquarters. The challenge asked students to condense a full brand proposal, including research, strategy, and creative, into a tight, four-page document, then defend it in front of a panel that included NYU faculty and OUTFRONT executives.

Although her team did not win, Elizabeth toured OUTFRONT's offices and watched the winning pitches in person. The quality of the pitches made such an impression that OUTFRONT invited IM&C students to interview for its internship program.

Working at OUTFRONT

Elizabeth’s internship began in the run-up to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, so every day was different, from working on RSVP lists to coordinating dinners, vendors, and company gear. She describes it as very fast-paced.

Elizabeth spent much of her time compiling a 90-page recap of the company's activity in Cannes, work the team later used. Her projects over the summer also touched on out-of-home market rides and a Times Square activation for HBO's House of the Dragon.

Beyond the work itself, Elizabeth points to OUTFRONT's culture as a defining part of her internship experience. She recalls a lesson Nick Brien, OUTFRONT CEO, repeats often: helping the next generation isn't separate from helping yourself.

Advice for Future Cohorts

Elizabeth remarks that saying yes to every opportunity has become something of a personal motto for her. "Say yes to everything," she said. "I never would have thought it could lead to an internship, and this is exactly how you build a career."
