What product or service does Care Metric Hub offer?
We offer a networked health intelligence platform that bridges the gap between clinical data and financial achievement in value-based care. By unifying EHR, claims, and patient-reported data, we offer providers a real-time performance dashboard while guiding patients through personal care plans—providing a closed-loop system for enhanced health and sustainable margins.

Where did you get the idea for this business?
It was from where that market forces were met with my own observation. I had seen the government's move towards value-based care, as well as simultaneously how small healthcare practices were struggling to keep up with this due to siloed systems and resource constraints. This policy requirement vs. effective capability gap had identified an obvious market opportunity we could leverage.

Why did you decide to join the HI Hub Incubator program?
In addition to the obvious benefits of mentorship and exposure to capital, we were particularly drawn to the focus of HI Hub on sustainable business models and dealing with health tech startups. The program's structured approach to customer validation and investor readiness is precisely what we need at our current development stage.

What do you enjoy most about creating your own startup?
I'm drawn to the process of making something meaningful out of nothing—taking concepts and turning them into solutions that address real health issues. The high learning curve and the potential to collaborate with standout people who share the same intent are worth the ride.

What advice would you give to someone considering starting a startup?
Focus on building something that you really understand and care about, because the process will test your commitment. Form an initial network of mentors and be willing to change course in response to customer input—flexibility is generally more valuable than not being willing to compromise on a new idea.

What is something you hope to learn through this process?
I'm most interested in mastering the art of resource optimization—how to achieve the biggest impact with the least resources in the early days. And I would also like to deepen my understanding of the healthcare procurement cycles and what really drives adoption in clinical settings.

What is the future of your startup in an ideal world?
Our long-term dream is to have Care Metric Hub as the unseen scaffolding that facilitates value-based care delivery effortlessly. We see our platform as more than just a tool, but as an agent for transforming healthcare delivery and experience—where data silos no longer hold back patient care, and care providers are free to do what they excel at: helping individuals.

Did you work with any alumni or mentors on this project? If yes, who and how was the experience?
We've been building connections with certain value-based care and healthcare IT experts who provide us with critical reality checks on our assumptions. Even though we're not yet set on these connections, their feedback has already helped us refine our product roadmap and avoid some common startup pitfalls. We consider the incubator to be the perfect location to continue building these mentor relationships.
