Engage and Grow at SPS

NYU SPS is a uniquely diverse and engaged community. We have a variety of programs, services, and centers built to enrich your experience. Our dedicated International Club is one of the largest organizations at NYU SPS and brings the student body together while promoting international awareness and multiculturalism. There are hundreds of other student organizations, leadership programs, community service opportunities, and events, giving you endless ways to deepen your knowledge and connections and build a life-long community.

Admissions Criteria

Applicants who did not complete an undergraduate or graduate degree in an institution where the medium of instruction is English are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores.

Applicants are required to submit a course-by-course evaluation of all transcripts. A course-by-course evaluation will translate courses and grades to U.S. equivalency.

Financial Aid Information

While US federal aid is not available to international students, SPS does consider international students for scholarships. There may be additional options from home countries, external organizations, and private loans.

Visa Requirements

The Office of Global Services (OGS) handles immigration matters for all students, faculty, and staff seeking immigration and visa support when traveling to NYU locations in the US and around the world.

STEM degrees

SPS offers four master’s degrees and one bachelor's degree that are STEM-designated, meaning they offer students with F-1 visas options for extending their stays in the U.S. Learn more about STEM designations.

Academic Support Resources

All SPS students have access to a wide range of academic support resources through their advisers and the Student Support Center. The Language Lab is also available to all international students.
