<p><span class="p-body">Growing up in a city beloved for its history and culture, Reem developed a deep appreciation for language and communication from a young age. Her decision to pursue her graduate studies at NYU was influenced by the university's global presence and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Reem was particularly drawn to NYU's international reach, with campuses in cities like New York, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai.</span></p> <p><span class="p-body">&quot;When I was looking for a translation master's program, NYU was one of my first choices because of its global presence,&quot; she says. Recognizing that studying at NYU would provide her with invaluable opportunities to interact with people from different backgrounds and perspectives, she has honed her understanding of intercultural communication—an essential skill for a translator and interpreter.In her second year at NYU, Reem reflects on her journey so far as nothing short of amazing. </span></p> <p><span class="p-body">She describes the faculty and administration as incredibly supportive, emphasizing their efforts to make her feel welcome and assist her academically and personally. <p><span class="p-body">Reem has yet to take courses that provide hands-on learning experiences, such as a capstone or practicum, but she is looking forward to those opportunities. In the meantime, she feels that her studies have already equipped her with the skills needed to thrive in her future career.
