With a background in mathematics and operational research, she has spent over two decades working in HR technology, ultimately leading her to SPS. We were delighted to learn more about Krishnamurthy's background and her experiences as a professor.</p>
Background and Path to NYU SPS
<p>Krishnamurthy began her academic career with an undergraduate degree in mathematics, followed by a graduate degree in operational research. She started out as a developer, where her natural affinity for coding quickly became apparent. Then, she transitioned to a product leader role, bridging the gap between business and technology in software development. Over the past twenty years, she has specialized in HR technology, enabling various HR functions across enterprises, and her focus has recently shifted towards the application of AI in enterprise settings, including HR.</p>
<p>Three years ago, Krishnamurthy joined NYU SPS as an advisor for the MS in Human Capital Analytics and Technology program. Her involvement has since grown, leading her to teach her favorite subject, HR systems.</p>

<p>Krishnamurthy's love for teaching has been constant throughout her life. She shares, "It gives me great pleasure to teach what I know and do while learning from my students."
