I continue to travel and learn and bring my experiences and insights about the world to the classroom. Watching the light of understanding go on in students' eyes and faces is what keeps me going, plus, it's a great place to let fly with dad jokes."

Paying It Forward to Students

It's always a challenge to balance teaching, research, and service to the University, and sometimes that gets in the way of really enjoying all that NYU and NYC have to offer. That said, since joining SPS I have done research in Puerto Rico, Japan, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Argentina."

Rethinking Hospitality

The days of the all-knowing leader are gone, and new leaders should strive for horizontality and decentralization. New forms of leadership will have to focus on complex systemic issues, for which there are no solutions, only negotiations. It is only by asking better questions that we can bring about meaningful change."
