Real World Consulting Projects

We believe in putting skills to the test where it matters most—the real world. Through our acclaimed Real World courses, students apply to join teams sponsored by organizations like Nike, Instagram, Citi, and ESPN. They work to solve real and emerging challenges for jobs and entire industries that don’t yet exist. Programs are interdisciplinary across degrees, serve undergraduates and graduate students, and are fully credit bearing.

Consulting Practicums

Many degree programs offer credit-bearing courses where teams of students work with an industry partner like a UN Committee, MasterCard, or a city agency to tackle a current issue or challenge. Faculty sponsors support the team as they engage with the partner organization, build research, analytic, teamwork and communication skills, and prove their career readiness.

Internships

We assist students taking their first steps toward their chosen fields. Students can work on-site, putting their knowledge and skills into practice while exploring career options and gaining valuable experience to differentiate themselves on their career journeys. Internships can be completed for credit or for pay and are available to students across degrees and programs.

Capstone Projects

Capstone projects are required for most undergraduate and graduate degrees and ensure that you leave SPS with a portfolio of work to demonstrate skills that differentiate you in the job market. Your department will help you arrange an individual or group research or consulting project with an organization.
