The Wasserman Center for Career Development
The Wasserman Center at NYU SPS offers career coaching and counseling, providing guidance on job search materials, LinkedIn, personal branding, portfolio websites, interviewing, and networking. The Center hosts industry events like recruiting fairs, trips, mixers, panels, and site visits, helping students and alumni connect with employers and build networks.
NYU SPS students and alumni also have access to the NYU SPS Wasserman Center for Career Development and their career fairs, mentorship programs, and lifetime career coaching—even after you graduate.
Expert Career Coaches
The Career Coaches at the SPS Wasserman Center are skilled in the industries where NYU SPS degree candidates are in demand. Our coaches hold certifications including the International Coaching Federation, Life Design Studio, Career Launch and Cappfinity Strengths Profile. You can meet with them on site or virtually.
Powerful Career Platform
Once enrolled, you’ll have access to the Handshake Career Portal, where you can browse thousands of job and internship listings, register for employer-hosted events on campus, access additional career platforms like Interstride and Focus2Career for free, and schedule coaching sessions. Many global employers promote job listings through our Handshake Career Portal.
Industry Networking
The Wasserman Center at SPS hosts events year-round to help students network with employers. These include industry-specific career fairs, on-campus information sessions by companies, private tours and networking lunches at companies like American Express, The New York Nets and Hyatt Hotelsy, and our Career Field Intensive travel series bringing students to meet top employers like IMAX, AEM, and William Morris.
