Chase opened the session by having students share why they were interested in joining the discussion about entrepreneurship. While some students attended the session to learn more about the basics of entrepreneurship, others were interested in gaining advice or suggestions for their current startups and business ventures.

During the session, students heard about Chase’s diverse background in various industries and organizations, including governmental work, corporations, startups, and academia.

Chase went on to illustrate the importance of entrepreneurs and the skills and mindset needed to be successful. In addition, she discussed how she believes the number one question that needs to be answered before any entrepreneurial journey begins is “What is the problem I’m solving?”

The students also learned the importance of properly conducting primary market research (PMR) throughout a business venture’s life cycle.

Students in this seminar left with a foundational understanding of entrepreneurship, and hopefully, they will be inspired to consider pursuing and growing their own businesses and organizations.
