NYU Innovators Look to Improve Healthcare Delivery
Team of NYU MS in Project Management Grads, Supervised by Professor Paul Meadows, Explore Innovative Technologies and Methodologies to Enhance Healthcare Accessibility, Patient Engagement, and Overall Wellness

When the NYU SPS team of Sriram Acharya, Heena Kalra, Vaani Gupta, and Doyel Sinha wanted to seek to drive positive change in the healthcare industry through their Capstone Project, they picked up a pair of glasses—augmented reality (AR) glasses, that is.

This MS in Project Management student project team aims to establish Dosify as a pioneer in creating advanced solutions that harness artificial intelligence (AI), AR, and mixed reality to transform healthcare delivery. The goal is to drive innovation, accessibility, and inclusivity in the industry.

The team’s proposal focused on four key areas:

Augmented Reality for Enhanced Care (AREC) AR Glasses: Leveraging advanced AI capabilities, these glasses empower patients with personalized health assessments, aid family members in monitoring and caring for patients, and assist doctors in diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Research Data Analytics and Insights (RDAI): RDAI focuses on harnessing data from AR glasses for emergency medical response to drive research and generate valuable insights.

Mixed Reality Training Platforms for Healthcare Professionals (MRTP): Leveraging VR, AR, and mixed reality technologies, the Dosify platform will simulate real-world medical scenarios and procedures, providing a hands-on learning environment for healthcare professionals such as surgeons, nurses, and medical students.

Market Expansion and Accessibility: The Dosify project team aims to enhance market share, grow its user base, and provide better healthcare solutions to a broader audience by targeting new geographic and demographic groups.

This project team’s research and work were well-structured and innovative, truly showcasing how project management skills, when combined with diverse thinking, can create inspiring and cutting-edge solutions.”
