NYU SPS Grads Learn to Create Compelling Websites
MS in Professional Writing Students Learn About Information Architecture and the UX Experience While Creating a Website Prototype as a Final Project.

Today, websites have become gateways to learning more and engaging with the majority of global businesses and organizations. In a core program course, Principles of Information Architecture, MS in Professional Writing (MSPW) students delve into the techniques used to develop compelling websites.

As part of the course, taught by Adjunct Instructor Lauren Fusilier, students were asked to develop a website prototype based on a mock request–for–proposal (RFP) for their final project. Taking into account the RFP requirements, students sought ways to match content presentation methods with the specific needs of their target audiences, which varied across projects.

After submitting their prototypes, the class took on the role of RFP reviewers and selected the strongest prototypes. Here we showcase several of the student website prototypes from the spring 2023 and summer 2023 courses.
