All open full-time faculty positions at SPS are posted on this web page and updated frequently. If you do not see a full-time position in your field of expertise, you may contact the department(s) where you are likely to teach to inquire if they will have full-time positions open in the near future. If you are looking for part-time teaching as an adjunct and do not see an open position posted above, please reach out to departments directly and send your CV to the departmental email aliases below.
I have been teaching at SPS as an adjunct for X years, how do I get a full-time position?
All full-time faculty hires must go through a formal search process. If you find a posting for a full-time faculty position here that is of interest to you, you are encouraged to apply for it.
Where do I send my application materials?
All applications for open searches are collected via Interfolio. Click on the "Apply Now" link under a position above that is of interest to you to review the job posting as well as instructions on how to apply. Application materials must be submitted via Interfolio for consideration; they may not be submitted via email or in person.
When do searches normally begin? When would the position begin?
Searches are conducted throughout the year and may vary in overall length of time. New faculty hires normally have a target start date of the following fall semester. Some exceptions may apply. Please consult the job posting and/or the department contact for more information.
Is there a process to recognize prior teaching experience and/or advanced faculty rank elsewhere?
Yes, prospective applicants to adjunct faculty positions may review the Initial Faculty Appointment and Elevated Rank (Adjunct) Criteria; applicants to full-time faculty positions may review the Appointment, Reappointment, Promotion, and Grievance Policy, specifically section IV. Appointment.
